Richard Dennis at The Smokery is an exciting new gallery / shop located in a beautiful rural setting at
Bowdens Farm, Hambridge. This shop, our Somerset Gallery, is situated adjacent to The Smokery, a highly acclaimed
and well established Somerset speciality lunch restaurant with ample free and easy parking.
The enterprise, which opened on October 28th 2004, sells a range of British Tableware, Studio Pottery and Collectors printed chinaware at prices to suit all pockets. There is also a selection of Antiques specialising in 19th & 20th century Childrens China, Midwinter, Cornishware, Poole, Eric Ravilious, Burgess & Leigh and Victorian Table Glassware. We also display and sell the locally made Dennis Chinaworks designed by Sally Tuffin.
A selection of reasonably priced antique and secondhand furniture, especially tables and chairs, are offered for sale. The Richard Dennis Publications range of books for collectors are displayed and available to buy.
An enjoyable and relaxing shopping trip away from the busy high streets - you are sure to find that special gift and support British made pottery.
The gallery's opening hours are Monday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm.
Whilst visiting our Somerset Gallery, why not drop in at Brown and Forrest - a small family run smokery, started 22 years ago. They produce the finest smoked eel and salmon as well as a whole range of delicious smoked food that includes smoked chicken, duck, lamb and trout. The Smokery is the site of their shop and award winning restaurant.
